Additional Job Description
Play a key role in keeping our Weavergate facility running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on engineering role, you’ll maintain and repair critical equipment, support technical teams, and help drive continuous improvement across our operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Ensure the continued running of the Weavergate facility for all process mechanical & electrical equipment through a hands-on approach.
- The safe removal, overhauling and installation of process equipment i.e. Pumps and filling equipment.
- Support EC&I & Electrical Technicians in engineering and maintenance activities.
- Develop maintenance procedures and other Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental documentation as necessary.
- Working safely on site and adhering to health and safety procedures for maintenance work. Permit; Hot Works, LOTO, Confined Space ect.
- Work with Process Engineer, Plant Electrical Engineer & other production staff on troubleshooting and improvement projects.
- Ensure all maintenance (internal & contractors) work is carried out correctly, safely and recorded as per the procedures.
- Maintain site 5s standards and be involved with TPM based projects
- Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- Time Server Engineer / Maintenance Technician, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. (suitable alterative experience will be considered).
- Minimum of 5 years experience, ideally working on a Top Tier COMAH chemical site.
- Experience of fault finding and repair of mechanical, pneumatic & process systems
- Experience of fabrication and installation to support equipment and pipelines
- Experience of Liquid transfer systems, maintaining and installing.
- Experience of working to a preventative maintenance schedule
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and pneumatic drawings
- Ability to write clear effective reports and procedures
- Ability to follow complex work instructions and document completed work accurately
- Willingness to learn about software control systems (SCADA)
- Willingness to assist and lean about EC&I activities
