About the Role
Our production lines in Bicester are important resources for BRITA Group, and our engineering team is at the heart of driving the performance that makes that possible. The work our technical team does is vital to the high performance levels that we are delivering, and this role is all about identifying, implementing and driving improvements that will keep those levels improving. Working alongside the rest of the engineering team, you will be really digging into the performance of individual machines to understand where improvements can be made and how to make them.

We are regularly investing in upgrading and improving our machinery, and the engineering team is an integral part of that, working with contractors and colleagues from elsewhere in BRITA to ensure upgrades happen as efficiently as possible. We have a comprehensive shopfloor management system that gives us detailed and comprehensive data on how all of our machines are running and you’ll be working with that on a daily basis and making full use of that data to help drive improvements.
Health & Safety is hugely important to us, and good housekeeping is upheld by providing a safe working environment, ensuring the work area is clean and tidy while participating, embracing and continuously developing in order to help the business improve in line with the BRITA values.
This is a Monday to Friday position, days only, 40 hours per week.
To be Successful in This Role
- Experienced technician with at least 3 years working in an automated production environment and a familiarity with both mechanical and electrical systems, with a particular emphasis on electrical.
- Strong experience of fault-finding, root-cause analysis and preventative maintenance.
- Comfortable working with and understanding wiring diagrams.
- Ideally have worked with PLCs or similar technologies.
- Comfortable working with data from both machines and shopfloor management systems and understanding how that relates to real-world machine performance.
- Being a time served apprentice or having an equivalent engineering qualification would be ideal.
- Motivated, reliable, methodical, comfortable in seeking out support when required, and an inclusive team player.
- Team focus and always thinking about ways we can do things better.

- Salary package of £35,000 to £38,200 per annum (£33,000 to £36,000 basic salary, plus year-end bonus of approximately 6%)
