Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer
East London & Essex GenesisCare Healthcare Portfolio

Are you an electrically qualified engineer looking for a mobile role with variety, autonomy, and responsibility?
CBRE is seeking a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to join our healthcare team, supporting a portfolio of GenesisCare cancer treatment centres across East London, Essex, and the South East.
This is a client-facing position where you'll work independently across multiple sites, delivering planned maintenance, reactive repairs, compliance activities, and contractor supervision within busy healthcare environments.
About The Role
You'll be responsible for supporting a portfolio of healthcare centres across:
- Elstree
- Chelmsford
- Maidstone
- Royal Tunbridge Wells
You'll act as CBRE's on-site engineering representative, ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant, and operational for clinical teams and patients.
This is a mobile position, so you must be comfortable travelling regularly between sites and managing your own workload.

What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Diagnosing and resolving reactive maintenance issues
- Carrying out routine compliance inspections and statutory checks
- Supervising specialist contractors and service providers
- Managing permits, safe systems of work, and contractor access
- Supporting electrical, HVAC, water hygiene, fire safety, and general building services activities
- Maintaining electronic compliance records and documentation
- Building strong working relationships with centre teams and stakeholders
Essential
What We're Looking For
- Electrically qualified
- Full UK driving licence
- Multi-skilled engineering capability
- Experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience supervising contractors and subcontractors
- Comfortable working independently across multiple locations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable
- Healthcare or critical environment experience
- HVAC and BMS knowledge
- CAFM system experience
- Emergency Lighting, Water Hygiene, or Fire Safety experience
- First Aid, IOSH, or other health and safety qualifications

Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Mobile role covering multiple healthcare sites
- Approximately 10 weekends per year
- Weekend attendance required to support and supervise out-of-hours maintenance activities
- Participation in team meetings, compliance activities, and training programmes
