Overview Of Role
Company: Speedibake
Location: Bradford
Reporting to the maintenance manager you are responsible for the output of the shift team you lead; inclusive of safety, people, quality, service and cost. You will attend short interval control meetings, working closely with the operations team to resolve daily issues in a timely manner and interface with all functions and all levels within the business.
Safety is first at Speedibake, so we're looking for someone to lead by example in ensuring that Health and Safety is our number one priority, and someone who is able to engage others to think and behave safely at all times.

Key Accountabilities
- Liaise with suppliers on plant or machine issues and updating of documentation / drawings as required.
- Proactive involvement in Project work, including the installation and commissioning of machines and equipment within authorised skill level.
- Positively influence the change management process, driving engineering culture to world class performance.
- Support and coach other employees in all aspects of shared maintenance to achieve operational and personal targets.
- To work with, or lead, multi-functional teams on CI initiatives using agreed techniques to improve production processes and plant design to minimise downtime and improve safety and quality performance.
- To undertake training and up-skilling programs as directed by business needs and to keep abreast of technological advancements and maintain skill level.
- Ensure an in-depth handover is provided to oncoming shift, to incl. engineering, manufacturing, or stores issues.
- Provide as required 24/7 engineering cover to support the bakery.
- Manage contractors to ensure relevant standards are met with due regard to safety, hygiene and quality, ATW & permits to work.

The Right Person
- Maintenance experience, ideally in an FMCG or similar industry
- A mechanical or electrical engineering background with a good working knowledge of various engineering disciplines is essential
- Experience of managing site projects is desirable
- Experience of managing contractors and be familiar with contractor control is desirable
- It is essential that you are a team player and able to integrate into a fast-paced, high-pressure results driven environment
- Health and Safety knowledge.

- Computer literate.
- Knowledge of Bakery Production and Processes.
- Maintenance Techniques and Philosophies.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
