Maintenance Technician | Solihull | Up to £33.36/hr (Umbrella) | 6-Month Contract
CS Technical Staffing is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a leading automotive manufacturing environment in Solihull on a 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills to work on advanced manufacturing equipment, supporting production operations and continuous improvement activities.
📍 Location: Solihull, UK
💷 Rate: £33.36/hr Umbrella (Inside IR35) or £24.88/hr PAYE
📅 Contract: 6 Months
⏰ Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Key Responsibilities:
- ✅ Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- ✅ Fault finding and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- ✅ Support robotic, conveyor, welding and PLC-controlled equipment
- ✅ Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- ✅ Minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
- ✅ Maintain accurate maintenance records using SAP
- ✅ Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For:
- ✔ Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- ✔ Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and manufacturing automation
- ✔ Knowledge of robotics, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics
- ✔ Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- ✔ Experience using CMMS systems such as SAP
- ✔ NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline or completed Engineering Apprenticeship
- ✔ Continuous improvement mindset with exposure to Lean, TPM or OEE initiatives
