Facilities Management & Maintenance Operative
£19–£24 per hour – depending on experience and trade background
As our Facilities Management division continues to grow, we are looking to add an experienced and versatile Maintenance / Facilities Operative to our team.
This is a varied role working across commercial buildings, dealing with day-to-day maintenance issues and helping to keep our clients’ properties running smoothly.
We are looking for someone with a strong trade background and a good all-round practical skill set. Experience working within commercial properties, facilities management or a similar environment would be an advantage.
The role will include a wide range of duties, including:
- General handyman and maintenance works
- Basic plumbing and electrical works
- Basic Painting and decorating
- Minor repairs and building maintenance
- Basic cleaning and janitorial duties
- Responding to day-to-day maintenance issues
- Carrying out inspections and identifying issues before they become bigger problems
- Assisting with planned and reactive maintenance
- Working across a range of commercial properties and supporting our facilities management clients

About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a core trade such as electrical, plumbing, joinery or similar
- A confident all-round handyman with a practical, can-do attitude
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Clean, tidy and presentable when dealing with clients and tenants
- Comfortable working across different buildings and dealing with a variety of maintenance issues
- Professional and customer-focused
- Keen to develop their role and take on additional responsibility

Opportunity to progress
This role offers the opportunity to grow with our Facilities Management business. As you become familiar with our buildings, clients and systems, there will be scope to take on more responsibility and progress towards helping manage maintenance works, contractors and day-to-day facilities management operations.

Salary
£19–£24 per hour, depending on your core trade, qualifications, experience and suitability for the role.
