ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently looking to recruit a Part Time Maintenance Technician to support site operations at our Worksop facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands on engineer seeking a reduced hours role within a fast paced production environment

Please note: This role includes a significant on call commitment, so we are looking for candidates who are comfortable with this level of responsibility.

  • Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 6:00am – 2:00pm
  • Week 3: 10:00am – 6:00pm

Core Hours (Part Time):

  • 2 days per week (16 hours) or
  • Up to 50% hours (5 days over a 2 week period) depending on business needs and candidate preference

On Call Requirement (Key Part of Role)

  • 1 full week on call in every 3 week cycle (Week 3)
  • On call covers evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays (if applicable)
  • A weekly allowance is paid during your on call week
  • This is paid in addition to your base salary
  • Additional payments are made for any call outs or site attendance

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
  • Diagnose faults across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Support continuous operation of production and site equipment
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and GMP compliance
  • Complete maintenance documentation and follow permit to work procedures
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

  • Previous maintenance experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or similar environment
  • Multi skilled capability with both mechanical and electrical fault finding
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Flexible approach to working hours and on call requirements

Desirable:

  • Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship)
  • Experience with PLC fault finding or automated systems
