Job Title: Maintenance Technician - Plumber

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Salary: £31048.98 - £33709.95 DOE

Location: The Conway Outdoor Education Centre

Edsential is dedicated to providing high-quality services across our facilities, ensuring that all plumbing systems are maintained to the highest standards. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will carry out both reactive and planned preventative plumbing maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Conduct reactive and planned preventative plumbing maintenance (PPM) across buildings and water systems within agreed timescales.
  • Diagnose plumbing faults and perform repairs to minimise disruption to site operations.
  • Maintain and repair sanitary fixtures and fittings, including taps, toilets, showers, and associated pipework.
  • Develop and deliver plumbing and water-system PPM schedules, ensuring the prioritisation of work and identification of necessary materials and tools.
  • Support water hygiene and Legionella control arrangements where trained, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using designated systems and ensure tools and equipment are safe and properly stored.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance systems and work practices.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a recognised plumbing qualification at Level 2 or above, with practical plumbing experience.
  • Experienced in diagnosing and repairing plumbing faults independently.
  • Knowledgeable on safe isolation and health and safety requirements relevant to plumbing and water systems.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Organised and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise reactive issues alongside planned work.
  • Familiarity with digital systems for job updates and record-keeping.
  • Experience in commercial or public buildings is desirable.
