Every product is carefully baked and decorated by a highly skilled team using quality ingredients and distinctive packaging. The range includes individual cakes, biscuits, and celebration cakes.
Maintenance Trainee
Main Purpose:
The Maintenance Trainee will work across all units located on Churchill Way, with the priority being support of Production with emergency equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and working with contractors to ensure the continual and efficient running of the business.
Key Tasks:
Safety
- Follow established Health & Safety rules and guidance.
- Complete all documentation required for the control and release of equipment to the bakery.

Quality
- Follow all Food safety policies while performing maintenance duties.
Delivery
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks according to the schedule and complete the required tasks in a timely manner.
- Assess and where possible repair all equipment breakdowns.
- Complete general maintenance on the buildings as required.
- Work with external contractors for emergency repairs and routine services.
- Maintain & improve the equipment condition where possible.
- Support sourcing of new equipment.
- All tasks to be carried out under guidance of the Site Maintenance Manager.

Cost
- Sensible use of spares and maintenance stocks to keep maintenance spend under control.
Morale
- Help the Operations team to train staff on the correct use of equipment.
- Carry out any reasonable request made of you by your manager.
Key Results/Objectives:
- Downtime
- PPM schedule completion
Skills/Experience:
- Positive, flexible, and can-do attitude
- A practical approach to maintenance & problem solving
- Maintenance experience preferred, but not essential
- Build relationships and good communication skills
- Able to prioritize under pressure
- Full Driving Licence
