Job Title: Major Account Manager

Salary: Competitive plus industry leading bonus

Location: This role is primarily field-based, with a blend of home working and regular visits to customer locations and BCA sites

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Job Status: Permanent

Main Purpose of The Role:

We're seeking a motivated Account Manager to build strong customer relationships, uncover growth opportunities, and deliver industry-leading solutions across our Fleet, Finance, Remarketing, Logistics, and Fleet Solutions services. You'll play a key role in driving customer success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain an ongoing professional relationship with designated customers, identifying key decision makers and building strong relationships, including at a senior executive level.
  • Achieve/exceed volume targets and grow product penetration for customer accounts.
  • Proactively explore and present opportunities to the customers to increase BCA’s market share of products and services.
  • Using key contacts and relationships to identify new business opportunities and target key stakeholders.
  • Create and deploy the strategic customer account plans for each account. Undertaking regular performance reviews with the customers and evolving where appropriate in line with client needs and market/industry/legislation developments.
  • Report on and manage expectations of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements in line with agreed contractual obligations.
  • Ensure an appropriate flow of information/data from the customer/market into relevant BCA stakeholder groups and systems.
  • Lead and implement contract renewals, rate reviews and price increases for all services and proactively manage with the customer.
  • Action any escalated queries or complaints so that any problems are resolved, in a timely fashion to all parties’ satisfaction as far as are reasonably practicable. Consult with the relevant senior business area owners on any complex issues and apply root cause analysis to minimise these issues reoccurring.
  • Ensure that any of the Company’s services used by designated customers are correctly documented by the relevant service area and reported, so that the Company can charge the customers the appropriate level of fees and commission
  • Be an active member of the BCA Commercial team, and proactively manage BCA risk within identified strategies.
  • Enhance personal development, attend conferences/industry forums, and deliver presentations as agreed.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Self-motivated to achieve objectives and meet targets.
  • Good report generation and presentation abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Excellent I.T. skills including Excel, PowerPoint and internal BCA systems.
  • Ability to interpret and utilise data effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to work with colleagues/customers at all levels.
  • Knowledge of all key BCA services and products.
  • Excellent negotiating skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to correctly comply with standard operating procedures but also to regularly and objectively review and implement improvements required.
