Job Description: Major Account Manager

Overview

  • Pay: £28,000.00 - £32,000.00 per year (OTE £40,000 - £44,000 per year)

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Major Account Manager to join our growing sales team. This role is focused on new business acquisition, with the expectation that successful candidates will develop these opportunities into long-term, high-value customer relationships. You will take full ownership of the sales lifecycle, from initial prospecting and qualification through to closing deals and growing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target new logo opportunities across a range of commercial sectors (excluding public sector)
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and proactive outreach
  • Qualify opportunities and build a strong, consistent pipeline aligned to revenue targets
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close
  • Present and position a broad portfolio including managed services, licensing, projects, and hardware
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and grow accounts
  • Work closely with technical, pre-sales, and sales support teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in sales or account management (VAR, MSP, vendor, or distribution preferred)
