About the Role

The Role

At GAP Hire Solutions, we're looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Major Account Manager to join our expanding Major Accounts team. This is a high-profile role responsible for developing and growing relationships with some of GAP's most important customers, identifying new opportunities, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across multiple divisions.

Working closely with senior decision-makers, operational teams and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in strengthening strategic partnerships and ensuring GAP remains the supplier of choice. Backed by the UK's leading equipment hire provider, you'll have the support, resources and autonomy needed to make a real impact.

Ideally, you'll be based in the South and be willing to travel extensively throughout the UK.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of Major Account customers to maximise revenue, profitability and retention
  • Building strong relationships with key decision-makers across customer organisations
  • Identifying new business opportunities and increasing customer spend through GAP's full range of products and services
  • Conducting regular customer visits, account reviews and presentations to support long-term partnerships
  • Working collaboratively with operational, commercial and regional teams to deliver outstanding customer service and account performance

About You

What We're Looking for

  • Significant experience in Major Account Management, National Account Management, Business Development or a senior sales role
  • A proven track record of developing key customer relationships and delivering revenue growth
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior decision-makers
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Experience within the hire, construction, infrastructure or industrial sectors would be advantageous
