Life on the team

At Computacenter, our Major Incident Managers play a vital role in supporting some of the UK's most critical IT services. Working within a highly collaborative operational environment, you'll lead the response to high-priority incidents, bringing together technical teams, suppliers and stakeholders to restore service as quickly as possible and minimise business impact.

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. You'll take ownership of major incidents from identification through to resolution, acting as a trusted leader during service disruption while helping to drive continual service improvement across the wider organisation.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the end-to-end management of major incidents, driving service restoration and minimising business impact.
  • Provide clear leadership and direction during incident bridges and stakeholder calls.
  • Coordinate technical resolver groups, support teams and third-party suppliers to keep incidents progressing with pace and control.
  • Deliver accurate, timely and professional communications to customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage escalations, risks and dependencies throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Ensure activities, decisions and actions are appropriately documented.
  • Facilitate post-incident reviews and identify opportunities to improve service resilience and operational effectiveness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
