About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Domestic Major Loss Adjuster or Surveyor to join our growing Major Loss team, handling complex household claims in excess of £100,000.
This is a technical, hands-on role for a qualified claims professional who takes full ownership of every aspect of a claim, including buildings, contents, and alternative accommodation. You will manage some of the most complex and high-value claims in our portfolio, from initial assessment through to final settlement.
Major loss claims can mean supporting customers through one of the most traumatic events of their lives, including the total loss of their home and possessions. You will therefore be a calm, reassuring, and empathetic presence throughout the claims journey, combining strong technical expertise with genuine care for the customers you support.
You will take full ownership of a caseload of major and complex claims, conducting site visits and surveys, determining liability and coverage, and project managing contractors, suppliers, and other experts to bring claims to a fair, efficient, and customer-focused resolution.
This role would suit an experienced adjuster or surveyor with strong technical expertise in loss adjusting, building pathology, and reinstatement, together with a proven track record of handling major or complex household claims.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
