About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the P3M & Strategy function, as a Major Project Manager for the Dungeness A, Boilers and Ancillary Plant Removal Project. The successful candidate will report into the Paired Sites Programme Manager, whilst delivering for the Site Director and being a key member of that lead team.
What You Will Be Doing
Your assignment will make you responsible for the safe delivery of Dungeness Boilers Removal Project’s scope, to quality cost and schedule, working collaboratively across the Site and wider organisation to overcome project challenges. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of the project, one of the largest within NRS.
- Drive End-to-End Project Delivery – Plan, organise, implement and control this high-profile project, ensuring safety, timeliness and cost-effectiveness in alignment with NRS strategic goals.
- Inspire and Develop High-Performing Teams - Lead and grow the fully integrated project team, fostering collaboration, celebrating achievements, and promoting accountability across diverse functions.
- Champion Safety and Continuous Improvement - Uphold NRS safe working practices, embed a proactive safety culture, and share lessons learned to drive ongoing performance enhancements.
- Shape the Project Structure and Resource Strategy - Define and maintain effective an organisation, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Promote Inclusive and Authentic Leadership - Build strong relationships through empathetic, values-driven leadership in a culturally diverse environment, supporting psychological safety and fairness.
- Innovate Within Regulatory Boundaries - Advocate for modern delivery practices and digital tools while navigating strict safety, security, and regulatory frameworks.
- Engage Strategically with Key Stakeholders - Cultivate trusted partnerships with the NDA, regulators, community stakeholders, and internal leadership to support project success.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Chartered Project Professional (ChPP)
- Commercial acumen, with an understanding of project and construction contracts, including NEC4 ECC.
- Proven senior leadership experience, supported by leadership training and a strong track record of delivering complex, high-value programmes or projects within a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrable success in influencing and engaging senior stakeholders, building a positive professional reputation, and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strategic, results-driven and innovative, with substantial experience in environments such as engineering, procurement, construction or construction management, alongside evidence of ongoing professional development.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is desirable.
- Experience of leading organisational change and delivering improvements within complex organisations.
- Conventional safety qualifications such as the CITB’s - Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMTS), IOSH etc.
