Southern Housing - Major Works Billing & Consultation Advisor
At Southern Housing, our residents are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Major Works Billing & Consultation Advisor to join our Service Charge & Specialist Leasehold Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of major works consultation and billing activities, ensuring residents receive clear communication, costs are accurately managed, and statutory requirements are met. You'll work alongside colleagues, residents and stakeholders to help deliver an excellent service while contributing to the continuous improvement of our major works processes.
What you'll be doing
As a Major Works Billing & Consultation Advisor, you'll provide administrative and technical support across major works consultation and billing activities. Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the preparation and issue of Section 20 consultation notices and related documentation.
- Maintaining accurate consultation records and correspondence.
- Supporting the administration and reconciliation of major works billing and final accounts.
- Assisting with statutory notices and major works communications.
- Responding to enquiries from leaseholders, shared owners and stakeholders.
- Supporting the resolution of resident queries, disputes and complaints.
- Assisting with audits, assurance reviews and the preparation of supporting evidence.
- Maintaining accurate records across relevant systems and databases.
- Supporting service improvements and business transformation initiatives.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good financial and numerical skills.
- Experience working in a customer-focused administrative or operational environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and continuous improvement.

It would be great if you also have
- Knowledge of leasehold service charges, major works billing or Section 20 consultation requirements.
- Experience working within housing, property management or leasehold services.
- Experience handling resident enquiries or complaints.
- Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation relating to leasehold management.
- A relevant housing, property management or customer service qualification.
