Right at Home Solent is an Outstanding CQC-rated home care provider supporting older people and vulnerable adults to live safely and independently in their own homes across Southampton.
We are currently looking for a Male Care Assistant to join our friendly team.
Important
- Previous experience working as a Care Assistant is essential.
- This role is suitable for someone who has worked in domiciliary care, residential care, nursing care, or a similar care setting.

What we offer
- £14.80–£16.59 per hour on weekdays
- £15.30–£17.15 per hour on weekends
- 35p per mile mileage allowance
- Paid training before you start (£230)
- Minimum 1-hour visits – no rushed calls
- Regular local clients and consistent hours

What you’ll be doing
You will visit clients in their own homes and support them with:
- Personal care
- Medication support
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Companionship and conversation
- Light housekeeping and shopping
- Helping clients remain independent and safe at home

What we’re looking for
Male Care Assistant
- Previous care experience
- Kind, reliable, and compassionate nature
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
