Job Description

A full UK automatic or manual driving licence is essential for this role.

We are looking for compassionate, reliable full-time Support Workers to join a small team providing person-centred support to an adult with a Learning Disability and Autism. The individual is non-verbal and requires consistent, structured support to promote independence, wellbeing, and safety.

About The Role

Community support is provided on a 2:1 basis, typically 10am–7pm, though times may vary depending on planned activities. You must also be flexible to work from 7am-10pm for his core hours.

Overnight support is 1:1 sleeping nights, 10pm–7am.

The person you will be supporting is generally calm and currently very settled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including prompting with self-care routines and assisting with washing during bathing.
  • Prepare meals and drinks in line with preferences and dietary needs.
  • Offer reassurance and use proactive strategies to redirect behaviours if the individual becomes dysregulated.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and positive engagement in daily activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone patient, understanding, and confident in supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Experience with Learning Disabilities, Autism, or non-verbal communication is beneficial but not essential if you have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A commitment to providing safe, respectful, and consistent support.
