Management Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting financial analysis.
- Assist with the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and longer-term financial planning activities.
- Produce detailed variance analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities across the business.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and performance management.
- Prepare KPI dashboards, MI packs, and board reporting to provide clear visibility of business performance.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and challenge where appropriate.
- Support cash flow forecasting and wider financial control activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automate processes, and enhance financial visibility.
- Provide support across the wider finance team, including Assistant Accountant and ad hoc finance responsibilities when required.
- Assist with audit requests, regulatory reporting, and finance-related projects.

Candidate Profile:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist.
- Previous experience in a hands-on Management Accountant role with strong month-end accounting exposure.
- Experience supporting FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and business performance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse large and complex datasets.
- Strong experience producing management information, KPI reporting, and board-level reporting packs.
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and competing deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- A team player who is willing to support across multiple areas of the finance function.
- Financial services experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
