Role Description

The Management Accountant will work full time in a hybrid arrangement based in London, with some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts
  • Supporting month-end close activities
  • Managing accruals and prepayments
  • Ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions
  • Analyzing financial performance

  • Providing insights to support decision-making and budgeting

The role involves collaborating with finance and operational teams to:

  • Maintain up-to-date financial statements
  • Improve reporting processes
  • Support internal controls and compliance
  • Contribute to forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning for solar projects and investments

Qualifications

  • Strong Accounting and Finance skills, including experience with management accounting and cost control.
  • Skills in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Expertise in Accruals and related accounting adjustments, such as prepayments and provisions.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to perform variance analysis, financial modeling, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Economics) or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; experience in renewable energy or infrastructure sectors is an advantage.
  • Professional fluency in English; Italian language skills are beneficial for working with local stakeholders.
