Description
Purpose of Role
The Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to support effective decision-making across London & Partners.
This role will focus on core management accounting activities while supporting the Commercial Finance Business Partner with financial insight and business planning where required. The role is suited to a newly qualified accountant who is pragmatic, efficient, and a strong team player.
Key Tasks
Management Accounts & Reporting
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including:
- Income & expenditure statements
- Balance sheet (statement of financial position)
- Clear supporting commentary
- Maintain and post accrual entries
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for relevant areas of responsibility
- Produce monthly reports for budget holders and senior management
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, including consolidation of directorate submissions
- Support in maintaining and updating forecasts throughout the year.
Stakeholder Support
- Act as a key contact for budget holders, providing clear financial information and guidance
Financial Control & Compliance
- Contribute to maintaining strong financial controls and adherence to procedures
- Support procurement processes to ensure compliance
- Assist in ensuring transactions are accurately recorded

Statutory Accounts & Audit
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts, including:
- Supporting schedules
- Working papers
- Selected disclosures
Continuous Improvement & Systems
- Support the improvement of financial reporting, forecasting and analysis processes
- Assist with system improvements and reporting enhancements
- Provide training and guidance to budget holders where required
Other
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects and analysis
- Support wider finance team priorities as required
You’ll have/bring
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting
- Experience working in a medium or large organisation
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with finance systems
