Hays Senior Finance Recruitment

Hays Senior Finance are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a large international manufacturing organisation based in Swansea on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business during an exciting period of transformation, as it implements a new ERP system across the group.


Role Overview

Working as part of a sizeable finance team, you will play a key role in maintaining day-to-day finance operations while supporting multiple European entities. This is a broad and varied position, offering exposure to management accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and stakeholder support within a complex manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to gain valuable experience during a major business transformation programme.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting.
  • Support month-end activities, including journals and accruals.
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Provide financial analysis and commentary.
  • Support financial controls, audits, and compliance.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business.
  • Support finance process improvements and ERP implementation activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Part-qualified, finalist or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Manufacturing finance experience is essential.
  • Previous management accounting experience.
  • Strong month-end reporting and reconciliation skills.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience.
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
  • ERP system experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities.
