Currently, we manage a global portfolio of over £8 billion in renewable energy assets.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the OEGen team. This role focuses on managing the preparation of monthly management accounts for OEGen group entities, supporting strategic finance initiatives, and liaising with various stakeholders across the subsidiary entities. The candidate will work within OEGen, overseeing a range of entities from regulated to non-regulated companies globally.
This position requires an average of 3 days in the office per week. The ideal candidate will be able to start by November.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, review, and analyse cash flow actuals and forecast for the OEGen, including capital call requests, cash flow reporting and reforecasting
- Prepare, review, and analyse management accounts and financial reports
- Liaise with the external audit team, assisting with queries and facilitating the year-end process
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for both regulated and non-regulated entities as well as work closely with OEGen Compliance team on regulatory reporting and related audits
- Provide technical accounting insight by composing technical summary papers for complex accounting transactions, staying up to date with the development of all accounting treatments and reporting standards, and advising senior management and the Board on the impact that such changes may have on the business
- Ensure that accounting policies are applied consistently throughout the OEGen Group, liaising with international companies, and working closely with them to provide assistance where required
- Work closely with international subsidiaries to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and procedures
- Work closely with the tax team preparing monthly VAT returns and assist in the preparation of annual tax returns.
- Support strategic projects such as finance transformation, system implementation, and future M&A activity
- Provide support and coverage for Accounts Payable function, oversee employee expense reports, and assist with invoicing and issuing recharges to internal companies
- Regularly interact with department heads and other senior members of the Group on a variety of financial matters

What You'll Need
- Technically strong background and qualified accountant (ACA preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Confidence to suggest improvements to systems and processes as the company continues to scale
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to senior management.
- Knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Previous experience working with regulated entities is a bonus
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders and external parties confidently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
