Management Accountant

Location: Redhill (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)
Salary: £45,000 | Full-time, Permanent (37 hours per week)

We're partnering with an established College Group to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team where you'll gain exposure across the full finance cycle. You'll play a key role in producing management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting, partnering with curriculum leaders, and contributing to year-end activities. The role offers broad commercial exposure while supporting an organisation that has a genuine impact on learners and the local community.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Business partner with curriculum and support departments, providing financial insight and advice.
  • Analyse financial, payroll and operational data to support informed decision-making.
  • Assist with year-end reporting, audit requirements and financial compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and systems.

About you

  • Previous finance experience within the education sector or similar regulated sectors
  • Experience preparing monthly management accounts
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance colleagues
  • Confident Excel user, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, SUMIFS and VLOOKUPs
  • Studying towards or qualified in AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent would be advantageous
