An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused Management Accountant to join a growing and ambitious business operating within a fast-paced, operationally driven environment. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, providing valuable commercial insight and supporting the continued growth of the organisation.
Your new role
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting, whilst delivering insightful variance analysis and supporting month-end and year-end processes. Working closely with the wider business, you will analyse financial performance, identify trends, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide meaningful KPI reporting to aid decision-making. You will play a key role in managing cash flow, working capital and financial efficiency initiatives, whilst supporting the management of debtors and creditors. The role will also involve maintaining robust financial controls, assisting with audit requirements, VAT returns and statutory reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. In addition, you will be expected to identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and systems, supporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and provide greater financial insight across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential
- Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
- Previous experience preparing monthly management accounts.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and hands-on approach.
Desirable
- Experience within a commercial, operational or distribution-based environment.
- Experience working within an SME or growing business.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
- Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
