Management Accountant

Location - near Weybridge, Surrey
Salary - £55K to £62K
Working Pattern – Hybrid role (3 days in the office)
Start Date – As soon as possible

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing specialist workforce solutions business to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a hands-on, commercially focused position that will play a key role in strengthening financial control, reporting, forecasting and business decision-making.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight, improving reporting processes and supporting the continued growth of the organisation.

The Role

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, driving forecasting and budgeting activities, improving cash flow performance and ensuring robust financial controls are in place.

This role offers broad exposure across finance, operations and commercial activities, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to make a genuine impact within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Management Reporting & Business Insight

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts with meaningful variance analysis and commentary.
  • Produce board-level financial reporting packs, including:
    • Profit & Loss
    • Balance Sheet
    • Cash Flow
    • KPI reporting
    • Risk analysis
  • Support senior leadership by providing financial insight and explaining business performance.
  • Deliver clear and actionable reporting to support commercial decision-making.

Forecasting, Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Maintain rolling forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Develop financial models and scenario planning tools to support strategic decisions.
  • Support the annual budgeting process.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities through forward-looking analysis.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Support improvements to credit control processes and debtor management.
  • Monitor collections performance and support the reduction of overdue balances.
  • Assist with initiatives to improve cash flow and working capital performance.
  • Provide visibility and reporting around cash flow, borrowing requirements and financial performance.

Financial Control & Compliance

  • Maintain the integrity of financial records, ledgers and accounting postings.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Support statutory reporting and year-end audit processes.
  • Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor requests.
  • Strengthen financial controls and governance processes across the business.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Work across finance, CRM and operational systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Help implement scalable financial processes to support future growth.
  • Support continuous improvement across finance systems and reporting frameworks.

About You

Essential

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience preparing monthly management accounts.
  • Strong cash flow forecasting and financial modelling skills.
  • Experience supporting audits and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.

Desirable

  • Experience within recruitment, workforce solutions, staffing or contractor-led businesses.
  • Knowledge of integrated finance and CRM systems.
  • Experience improving credit control and working capital performance.
  • Experience supporting growing or scaling organisations.
  • Commercially minded with an interest in improving business performance.
