Financial Controller – Intermediate | Brize Norton | 12-Month Contract
We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a major multinational organisation on an initial 12-month contract.
Working closely with the Finance Director and Financial Controller, you will support financial planning, forecasting and control across the business. The role combines financial analysis with operational partnering, working with teams across the organisation to understand costs, resource requirements and financial performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and analyse cost, revenue and cash forecasts across the business.
- Work with operational teams to forecast resource requirements and associated costs.
- Monitor actual costs and revenue against forecast and provide clear variance analysis and insight.
- Support financial planning, forecasting and regular operational performance processes.
- Work with managers to understand, manage and control operational costs.
- Liaise with Procurement to ensure open commitments and costs are accurately recognised.
- Support cost allocation, journals, accruals, sales reserves and month-end activities.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
- Produce meaningful management information and ad-hoc reporting.
- Support the invoicing process for internal and external customers.
- Work collaboratively with finance, procurement and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support the implementation of new financial initiatives and processes.

About you:

We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in financial controlling, management accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong experience in forecasting, budgeting, cost control and variance analysis.
- The ability to work closely with operational stakeholders and translate financial data into meaningful business insight.
- Good understanding of month-end processes, including accruals, journals and cost allocation.
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
- Experience within defence, aerospace, engineering or another complex/regulated environment would be advantageous.
- Experience working with government or MOD programmes would be beneficial.
