Management Accountant
Core3 is delighted to be working with a growing organisation in Bristol to recruit a Management Accountant to join its finance team.
Why join our client
This is a broad Management Accountant role with real ownership of the commercial numbers. You'll take responsibility for revenue, margin, commissions and intercompany accounting, making sure the numbers are accurate and delivered to tight month-end deadlines.
It's a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys getting beneath the numbers rather than simply producing them. With significant growth planned, you'll also be encouraged to challenge existing processes and find more scalable ways of working as the volume and complexity of finance activity increases.
How you'll make an impact
- Own revenue recognition and monthly revenue accruals across multiple income streams
- Analyse margins and investigate movements across different areas of the business
- Manage payroll and cost accruals to ensure accurate profitability reporting
- Review cost allocations and challenge whether costs are being reported appropriately
- Take ownership of commission and bonus calculations, ensuring accuracy before payment
- Reconcile billing, payroll and key balance sheet accounts as part of month-end close
- Manage intercompany accounting and ensure balances reconcile across multiple entities
- Support transfer pricing calculations and associated reporting
- Deliver key management accounting activities to demanding month-end deadlines
- Improve financial models and processes to make reporting more efficient and scalable
- Provide clear explanations of financial calculations to stakeholders across the business
- Provide wider month-end and finance operations cover when required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
