About MIB

At MIB our people are passionate about making roads safer by getting uninsured and hit-and-run drivers off our roads. Working in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government our collective aim is to make it a thing of the past but, until that’s accomplished, we’re here to compensate victims quickly, fairly and compassionately.

Last year we helped more than 34,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives.

About the role

The role will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely management information, supporting budgeting and forecasting activity, maintaining robust balance sheet controls, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making across the organisation.

The role will also play a key part in the year-end audit process, preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and well evidenced.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow reporting, and supporting commentary.
  • Post and review month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll journals, and other adjustments as appropriate.
  • Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all key accounts are supported by appropriate documentation.
  • Support preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and longer-term financial plans.
  • Monitor costs, income, and key financial performance indicators, recommending actions where appropriate.
  • Support improvements to financial processes, controls, reporting templates, and system use.
  • Support the production of year-end accounts and related financial information, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency with underlying records.
  • Maintain organised audit files and ensure all documentation is clear, traceable, and audit ready.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
