Search are supporting the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join a growing business in Aberdeenshire. This is a highly visible role that combines management accounting, financial analysis, and business partnering, offering the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders and influence decision-making across the organisation.

You'll play a key role in delivering insightful financial reporting, supporting budgets and forecasts, and providing analysis that helps drive performance and efficiency. This position would suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys translating numbers into meaningful business insight.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
  • Analysing financial performance, variances, and key cost drivers, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations
  • Producing KPI reports, financial dashboards, and trend analysis for management teams
  • Supporting statutory reporting and wider finance compliance activities
  • Leading the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts
  • Developing financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and business decisions
  • Monitoring budget performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs
  • Conducting profitability, margin, and cost analysis across business activities
  • Partnering with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge
  • Supporting business cases, project evaluations, and investment decisions

Skills and Experience That Will Benefit Your Application:

  • Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS etc), Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
  • Previous experience in management accounting or a similar role
  • Demonstrable understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial models
  • Experience using accounting and ERP systems
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
