About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in the delivery of accurate, timely financial reporting across the Group.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the month-end close and management accounts process, ensuring the integrity of our financial records and providing meaningful analysis and insight to support commercial decision-making.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility across multiple Group entities, offering the opportunity to work closely with the wider business and support improvements across our finance processes and systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts across the Group
- Leading the month-end close process and ensuring reporting deadlines are met
- Preparing and posting accruals, prepayments and other month-end journals
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and financial records
- Producing monthly reporting packs, management information and variance analysis
- Providing financial commentary and insight to support business decisions
- Analysing staff costs, overheads and profitability trends
- Managing intercompany reconciliations, cost allocations and fixed asset records
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting reconciliations
- Supporting the Financial Controller with statutory audits and audit preparation
- Reviewing transactional finance processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
- Supporting finance systems, integration and transformation projects
- Coaching and mentoring members of the Finance team, including our Finance Assistant

About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident working across management accounting and financial reporting and who enjoys using financial information to understand performance and support the wider business.
You’ll ideally have:
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent qualification at finalist/newly qualified level
- Previous experience preparing management accounts
- Strong knowledge of month-end accounting and balance sheet controls
- Experience with reconciliations, accruals and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience supervising, reviewing or supporting the development of others
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience working across multiple entities
- Previous experience within recruitment or professional services
- Experience of people management
