Client Details
Michael Page are actively working with a long standing client who are looking for a Qualified Management Accountant to join the team in East Leeds on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual that is looking to lead the management accounts function whilst also supporting the Financial Controller with strategic decision making for a growing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant looking for a step up and take lead on the end to end management accounts process. My client is a growing business in their industry, and are recognised for their top quality working culture and clear progression pathways for employees.
Description
- Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting cycles, working closely with department leads
- Monitor financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to senior stakeholders
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
- Support audit processes and statutory reporting requirements
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting quality
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases

A Successful Management Accountant Should Have

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification or Finalist
- Experience producing full monthly management accounts.
- Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Open to mentoring or supporting junior finance professionals.
- Strong excel skills
- Motivated by continuous improvement
Job Offer
- Generous salary range £50,000 - £53,000
- Fully office-based initially, transitioning to 3 days onsite, 2 days at home after probation.
