Halsingdon / North Manchester

Forge Talent are exclusively partnered with an established and growing business to recruit a Management Accountant into their finance team.
This is a broad role covering management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, commercial analysis and process improvement. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and wider finance team, providing accurate financial information and helping the business understand the key drivers behind its performance. You’ll have exposure across the full management accounting cycle, work closely with senior leadership and have the opportunity to make improvements to reporting, systems and processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
The role would suit an experienced Management Accountant who is either professionally qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE).

The Role

  • Take ownership of the monthly management accounts and month-end close process
  • Produce accurate and timely management information for senior stakeholders
  • Analyse margins, ROI, KPIs and wider business performance
  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial information is accurate
  • Reconcile and monitor intercompany balances
  • Maintain the fixed asset register
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review and submission
  • Support the annual statutory audit process
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
  • Support short and long-term cash flow forecasting
  • Monitor financial data from across the business and ensure its accuracy and relevance
  • Ensure finance policies, controls and procedures are followed
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting
  • Support the development of systems and automation to improve efficiency and financial visibility
  • Work with the wider business to understand key commercial drivers and translate these into meaningful financial reporting

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
