Lusona is exclusively partnered with an International Manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Glasgow to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client has a Group Turnover of 85 million with ambitious plans for growth through acquisition. Our client is an ambitious organisation who are seeking an experienced Management Accountant either professionally qualified or Qualified through experience. Study support is covered in the package for any active studiers with ACCA/CIMA/ICAS.

The Role
The Management Accountant will report to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for the provision of monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting across a multi-site environment and work with operations on margin, profitability and product costing. This is a commercial finance role that will work closely with the transactional team, operations and leadership community offering strong communication, analysis and first class reporting capabilities to steer decision making.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing accurate and timely financial information to support business decisions.
- Assist in the production of annual budgets and forecasts, contributing to effective financial planning and performance management.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Manage and review Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Asset Registers.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany account reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Conducted regular bank reconciliations and resolved any discrepancies identified.
- Compile and submitted VAT returns in line with statutory requirements and deadlines.
- Prepared audit files and supporting documentation for external audit reviews.
- Assisted in the preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements.
- Liaised with external auditors and banking partners, responding to queries and providing financial information as required.
- Produce ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Product profitability and variance analysis, identifying key business trends and performance drivers.
- Perform cost analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Assist with stock valuation processes and inventory reviews, contributing to accurate financial reporting

About Our Client
Our client offers a generous benefits package with a salary dependent on experience, bonus and healthcare. This is a full time office role with flexible start and finish times over a 37.5 hour working week.
