Management Accountant – Consumer Products
Location: Central London
Working pattern: 3 days in the office
Salary: £50,000–£60,000
Start date: 1 month notice or less
A high-growth consumer products business is looking for a Management Accountant to join its finance team and take ownership of the monthly management accounts process.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers, understands stock and inventory, and can work effectively with operational teams and third-party logistics providers.
The role
You’ll take ownership of the management accounts, while playing a key role in understanding the financial performance of the wider business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Producing accurate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Managing month-end close and ensuring deadlines are met
- Stock and inventory accounting, including reconciliations and reporting
- Working closely with 3PL providers to ensure accurate stock and logistics data
- Investigating variances and providing meaningful commentary on performance
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Working closely with commercial, operations and supply chain stakeholders
- Improving financial processes, controls and reporting
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis and projects

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, hands-on and comfortable operating in a fast-paced consumer environment.
You'll need:
- Proven experience owning management accounts
- Strong stock/inventory accounting experience
- Experience working with 3PLs / third-party logistics providers
- Strong Excel skills
- Good understanding of month-end processes and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail
- The confidence to work with non-finance stakeholders

Experience within consumer products, FMCG, retail, ecommerce or a similar stock-led business would be highly beneficial. Someone who can be in Central London 3 days per week. 1 month notice or less — this is essential.
