Management Accountant (Costing) Opportunity - Stockton - Up to £60,000 base plus benefits

An industry leading brand in Stockton, are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will report directly into the Group UK CFO and has a clear progression and development path, if the successful candidate is looking to advance their career. The business are currently going through a strong period of growth, transformation and change, which has seen the creation of this role.

The salary on offer is £60,000 per annum plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • BOM & WIP Management: Maintain and audit standard costs across complex Bills of Materials (BOM) while producing accurate Work in Progress (WIP) reporting.
  • Cost Accounting & Analysis: Oversee Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), general cost accounting processes, and variance analysis to drive operational efficiency.
  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of core management accounts.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare, refine, and present comprehensive monthly management packs with clear commercial commentary for senior leadership.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with operational teams across engineering and manufacturing to continuously improve control environments and cost transparency.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA).
  • Industry Experience: Direct experience working within an engineering or manufacturing business or similar (Steel, fabrication etc).
  • Technical Expertise: Background and experience in cost accounting, BOM, WIP track record, and inventory management.
  • Working Arrangement: Willing to work onsite in Stockton 3 days per week.
