We are seeking an adaptable, proactive Management Accountant to join Grey London on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is a vital addition to our Finance team, taking ownership of core monthly accounting deliverables, financial control, and studio business partnering through a busy reporting period.

You’ll be an integral part of the close-knit Finance community here at Grey London, operating within the broader Ogilvy Group and WPP Creative. In this role, you will work closely with London-based commercial and agency teams, senior finance leaders, WPP’s FinancePlus division, and group finance contacts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management Accounts Preparation: Independently prepare and review monthly management accounts, including general ledger account reviews, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and posting manual journals (accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, and cost allocations).
  • Core Systems & Workday Adoption: Utilise Workday as the agency’s core finance system - navigating early-stage adoption workflows, refining day-to-day reporting routines, and helping guide commercial agency teams on system processes and queries.
  • WPP Group Reporting Submissions: Ensure timely upload and reporting of monthly and quarterly financial packages into WPP Group reporting tools.
  • SOX Compliance & Audit Trail: Maintain a strict SOX-compliant control environment, reviewing month-end actuals and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure sufficient supporting documentation and a clear audit trail for internal and external audits.
  • Revenue & Intercompany Workstreams: Maintain revenue trackers and attribution schedules across creative workstreams, manage intercompany purchase orders, and resolve intercompany mismatches across the WPP network.
  • Budgeting & Reforecasting Support: Assist the Financial Controller with quarterly reforecasting cycles, rolling forecasts, and annual budget preparation.
  • Agency Business Partnering: Act as an approachable finance ambassador and primary contact for agency teams, managing query inboxes and supporting project leads and producers with day-to-day finance questions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
