Management Accountant

Our high growth client in the data centre development industry are looking for a new Management Accountant to join their growing team in London. Reporting into the Head of Finance, this is a broad role, offering strong progression and study support.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the accounts payable process from invoice receipt and coding through to approval, processing and supplier query resolution.
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly, maintaining complete and well-organised records.
  • Prepare regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or outstanding items.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring reconciling items are understood, supported and cleared promptly.
  • Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments and other month-end adjustments.
  • Assist with the month-end close, working to agreed deadlines and providing accurate supporting schedules.
  • Support the preparation of management information and financial analysis as required.
  • Maintain robust controls across transactional and month-end processes, highlighting risks or process improvements.
  • Assisting with ad hoc analysis, finance projects and process improvements.

  • Actively studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or a similar finance qualification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
  • Practical accounts payable and invoice processing experience.
  • An understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals.
  • Good systems and Excel exposure, with the confidence to learn new finance systems.
  • A proactive, organised individual who is keen to progress and develop their career.
