Management Accountant
Location: Suffolk
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Type: Full-time
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
Contract: 12-month FTC
Preferred working pattern: Hybrid working, with approximately four days on site (although three days may be considered)
The Opportunity:
Mackie Myers are partnering with a well-established and FMCG business in Suffolk to recruit a Management Accountant on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This is a highly visible role within the finance team, supporting operational and commercial decision-making across the business.
Working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, you will provide accurate management information, analyse manufacturing performance, and help drive continuous improvement across the site. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a strong understanding of production reporting, cost control, and yield analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reporting packs for senior management.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Monitor and report on production yields, wastage, and operational performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes.
- Investigate variances and provide insightful commentary to operational and finance stakeholders.
- Partner with production, supply chain, and operations teams to improve financial understanding across the business.
- Support stock accounting processes, inventory controls, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with cost improvement initiatives and business performance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement within reporting processes and financial controls.

About You:
- Finalist, Part-Qualified, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner role.
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, manufacturing, or processing environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of production reporting, manufacturing costs, and yield analysis.
- Confident working with large volumes of operational and financial data.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
- Ability to build relationships across operational and non-finance teams.
- Commercially minded with a proactive and hands-on approach.
