Management Accountant – 12-month Fixed term contract

Location: Westminster/Home
Hours: 36.25 hours per week
Salary: £63,700

Role Purpose

We are looking for a qualified and commercially aware Management Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting across the ICE Group.

Working closely with budget holders and stakeholders across the organisation, you will provide timely, accurate financial information and analysis that supports informed decision-making. You will also help drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting, contributing to the effective financial management of a global organisation.

As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, coordinating budget and forecast processes, and providing financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making. You will build strong relationships with budget holders across the business, helping them understand financial performance, manage budgets effectively and identify potential risks and opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Lead and coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting processes across the ICE Group.
  • Partner with budget holders to support effective financial planning and management.
  • Provide financial analysis, modelling and insight to support business decisions.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounts remain accurate and up to date.
  • Support year-end processes, statutory accounts preparation and external audits.
  • Manage subscription allocations and payments to third-party organisations.
  • Develop and improve reporting processes, systems and financial procedures.
  • Monitor financial trends and identify risks that may impact budget performance.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners including auditors, banks, suppliers and software providers.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience preparing management accounts and reporting packs for different audiences.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with finance systems and financial packages.
  • Experience maintaining accounts through to trial balance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience accounting for fixed assets.
  • Experience working within a charity, membership or not-for-profit environment

Qualifications

  • Professional management accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
