We are looking for an ambitious Management Accountant to join our growing Finance team.
The Role
The Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and balance sheet control across a number of international entities. Working closely with the Finance Manager and Financial Accountant, the role will combine regular month-end reporting responsibilities with exposure to year-end processes, local compliance requirements, tax matters, and financial control activities within a fast-paced, private equity-backed global business.
What You'll Do
Monthly Financial Reporting:
- Completion of all work required to prepare monthly management accounts for up to five countries, dependent on size
- Cost centre reporting management, where required within country
- Responsibility for accuracy of balance sheet with thorough understanding of all balance sheet reconciliations and attention to detail within risk areas
- Taking ownership of accurate stock counts and monthly stock revaluations
- Support the Finance Manager in monthly MI meetings with discussion around the numbers compare budget and forecast, providing information to the management team to gain comfort around the month-end reports
- Work alongside Payroll Manager to ensure payroll reconciliations are accurate and payroll taxes, pensions, etc. are all paid to appropriate deadlines
- Assist with ad-hoc projects on process improvement within finance

Compliance & Risk Management
- Support the Financial Accountant in coordinating group and local-level audit processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and the timely completion of audits across all regions.
- Assist the Financial Accountant in collaborating with tax advisors and ensuring adherence to group tax policies, reporting, and deadlines globally
Learning & Development:
- Study support provided towards accountancy qualification on passing of probation.
- Exposure to global business in a PE-backed environment

Requirements
What We're Looking For
The role is designed for a part-qualified or qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience who is looking to broaden their experience into financial accounting, statutory compliance, audit support, and risk management.
You will have excellent attention to detail, confidence in challenging approaches, strong relationship-building skills, advanced Excel skills, and preferably an interest in health and fitness.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is working towards CIMA, ACCA, and ACA qualification, with one year remaining.
- Has a track record of working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, or private equity-backed business environment.
- Has experience producing management accounts and financial analysis to tight deadlines.
- Has a strong background in variance analysis, cost control, and performance reporting.
- Ideally has experience in the fitness, wellness, or consumer services sector.
