We are recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of an established, not-for-profit housing association based in South Manchester.

The Role
Working within the Finance Reporting team, the Management Accountant will provide high-quality financial information and accounting support across the organisation.
This is a varied role requiring a good grounding in management and financial accounting, strong general ledger skills, and previous experience within the social housing sector.
You will also play a part in finance systems development, implementation, and testing, so this would particularly suit someone who enjoys improving processes and systems as well as delivering accurate financial information.

What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- At least 3 years' experience within a general finance/accounting environment
- Previous social housing or housing association experience
- Strong management accounting and general ledger knowledge
- The ability to undertake both routine and more complex accounting work with minimal supervision
- Previous involvement in finance/accounting system implementation and testing
- Strong Excel skills, including the practical application of a range of functions
- A recognised accounting background - part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation

A fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary & Benefits

- £47,000 salary
- 35-hour working week
