Growing international business seeking a Management Accountant for a broad role across month-end, reporting, team management and process improvement.
Salary: Up to £45,000
Location: North Herts
Working Pattern: 4 days in office
We’re working with a growing international business looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team.
This is a broad role with responsibility for monthly management accounts, reporting and core accounting activities across multiple entities. You’ll also manage members of the finance team and work closely with the Financial Controller on process improvements and wider finance projects.
The Role
- Producing monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines
- Preparing month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Reviewing the general ledger and ensuring accurate financial information
- Investigating and reporting on variances against budgets and forecasts
- Managing and supporting members of the finance team
- Reviewing and processing supplier payment runs
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Managing fixed asset accounting and reporting
- Supporting cash flow forecasting and wider financial reporting
- Working with external accountants and auditors during year-end
- Supporting international VAT and tax-related processes
- Reviewing existing accounting processes, controls and procedures
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen financial operations

About You

- Strong management accounting and month-end experience
- Actively studying ACCA or ACA is preferred
- Experience within an international or multi-entity environment would be beneficial
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, journals and financial controls
- Confident working with stakeholders across the wider business
- Experience improving finance processes and procedures
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
