The Management Accountant will take ownership of the fixed asset accounting process, ensuring accurate reporting, control, and compliance throughout the asset lifecycle.
The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a proactive approach to process improvement, and a desire to develop within a growing business. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will deliver accurate management information, insightful analysis, and support key finance initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring all asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform periodic impairment reviews across both tangible and intangible assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policy.
- Support the delivery of Group and UK Capex reporting requirements, providing accurate analysis and commentary where required.
- Partner closely with the NSO team, offering financial support, cost tracking analysis, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Account for rental and lease-related costs, maintaining the lease asset register within SAP and ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and IFRS 16 requirements.
- Work alongside the Senior Management Accountant to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements across key accounting and reporting activities.
- Complete month-end responsibilities, including project stock allocations, repairs and maintenance postings, accruals, journals, and other associated accounting tasks.
- Support the annual external audit process by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries, and providing supporting documentation.
- Produce ad hoc financial analysis and participate in projects that support wider business performance, operational efficiency, and finance objectives.
- Assist with maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring accounting records remain accurate, complete, and audit-ready at all times.

Candidate profile:

- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, ideally in the final stages of qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years' finance and accounting experience.
- Experience working within a multi-site or multi-entity environment.
- Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
