Hays Senior Finance
Hays Senior Finance are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a large and growing organisation based in Swansea. Operating within a multi-site environment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a purpose-led business and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis and commercial support across the organisation.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will take ownership of month-end reporting and management accounts whilst providing valuable financial insight to operational stakeholders. This is a varied role that combines core management accounting responsibilities with budgeting, forecasting, business partnering and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end process and produce accurate, timely management accounts.
- Prepare and review profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and supporting management information.
- Monitor financial performance and provide detailed variance analysis and commentary.
- Manage accruals, prepayments, payroll recharges and holiday pay accruals.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including payroll, PAYE and pension controls.
- Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled across the wider group.
- Maintain fixed asset registers, including depreciation and lease accounting requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities.
- Produce weekly and monthly KPI reporting and performance analysis.
- Provide financial insight and support to operational stakeholders.
- Support year-end reporting and external audit processes.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and reporting.

What We're Looking For
- Qualified accountant or finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience within a management accounting role.
- Strong month-end accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Experience producing management accounts, financial reporting and analysis.
- Experience working within a multi-site environment.
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience.
- Experience supporting audits, lease accounting or ERP systems would be advantageous.
