Job Description

This role is based 5 days a week in our Shirebrook HQ

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our International Finance & Reporting team, supporting Frasers Group's growing global retail estate. Working within a fast-paced international environment, you will take ownership of a portfolio of entities and stores across multiple territories, providing financial insight and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

You will be responsible for assisting with reporting for multiple entities within the group, preparation of year end TB’s, helping to successfully deliver on the audit process for group companies, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes as well as owning month end procedures and balance sheet reconciliations.

As part of a global retail group with revenues exceeding £5bn, you will support a variety of high-impact projects and initiatives, gaining exposure to the challenges and opportunities that come with operating an international retail portfolio. Joining the International Finance team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting and commercial insight across our international store estate, helping to support decision-making and ensuring Frasers Group continues to drive growth across its global operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Conducting variance analysis and investigation
  • Presenting management accounts to line manager and senior finance stakeholders
  • Owning audits for relevant entities
  • Posting month end journals
  • Creating department reporting to help with financial planning, including review and investigation of any variances between the actual results and budgeted/forecasted results
  • Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
  • Completion and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Adhoc reporting tasks as required

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Fully qualified accountant with up to date membership from CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills and able to build relationships at all levels
  • Looking to grow a career with a global commercial business
  • Experience of accounting systems and finance processes
  • Excellent MS Excel skills and confident working with large scale complex data
