Part-Qualified Management Accountant
Location: Hybrid (London)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Study Support + Benefits
Reporting to: Financial Controller
About the Role
We are partnering with a growing financial services business looking to appoint a Part-Qualified Management Accountant to support the finance team across management reporting, month-end accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious ACCA/CIMA studier seeking broad exposure across both core accounting and FP&A activities in a commercially focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and board reporting packs.
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyse monthly financial performance and investigate variances against budget and forecast.
- Support preparation of statutory audit schedules and year-end reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist with cash flow reporting and working capital analysis.

- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Produce financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the business.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of financial models.
- Prepare KPI reporting and performance dashboards for senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with budget holders to understand financial performance and provide actionable insights.
- Support ad-hoc commercial projects, business cases, and investment analysis where required.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and enhance financial controls.
- Support finance transformation initiatives and system improvements.
- Help automate reporting processes and develop more insightful management information.
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA (or actively studying).
- Experience preparing management accounts within a commercial, financial services, or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of month-end accounting processes.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and journals.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information.

Desirable Experience
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or FP&A activities.
- Experience working in a regulated or financial services environment.
- Experience using Power BI or reporting tools.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across non-finance functions.
