Management Accountant
Are you a qualified or part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant with strong management accounting experience?
Do you enjoy business partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders, using finance to influence decisions rather than simply reporting the numbers?
Would you like to join a well-established consumer brand where Finance plays a key role in supporting commercial decision-making?
MacGregor Black is working with a well-established, internationally recognised consumer brand to appoint a Management Accountant to join their Finance team.
This is a commercially focused position for an accountant who can combine strong technical accounting skills with excellent business partnering and stakeholder management capability.
You will take ownership of the financial performance of designated areas of the business, providing management information, forecasting and analysis while acting as a key Finance Business Partner to senior stakeholders and budget holders.
A major part of the role will be building strong relationships across the business, understanding the operational and commercial drivers behind performance, challenging assumptions and helping stakeholders make better-informed decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
