About the Business
A great opportunity to join a well-established, family-run services business based in Halesowen as a Management Accountant, with a salary of £42,000 – £50,000. Main Duties
As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:
- Preparing and analysing monthly management accounts, ensuring information is accurate and delivered to deadline
- Supporting the production of financial information for Board packs and external stakeholder reporting
- Reconciling control accounts, balance sheet items and intercompany balances, investigating and clearing any discrepancies
- Analysing Profit and Loss performance and acting as a point of contact for queries from across the business
- Compiling and submitting statutory returns, including ONS reporting and VAT, in line with deadlines
- Reviewing company card spend to ensure it follows internal controls and policy
- Producing monthly sales reporting for key accounts
- Managing rebate records and authorising customer repayment invoices
- Supporting the year-end audit process, including preparing supporting documentation
- Offering wider support to the Accounts team and working collaboratively across departments
- Picking up ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as they arise

- Solid, all-round experience as a Management Accountant, confident managing the full monthly reporting cycle
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using financial reporting systems
- Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities
- AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience all considered
- Prior exposure to multi-company or group accounting would be an advantage
