MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
LONDON - 3 DAYS IN THE OFFICE, 2 FROM HOME - PERMANENT - PRIVATE EQUITY BACKED ASSET OWNER BUYING ACROSS EUROPE AND AUSTRALIA
£45,000 - £50,000 + bonus + benefits
Are you a management accountant who likes owning one number properly? Do you take quiet satisfaction in work papers that tie, month after month?
We Do Group are hiring a Management Accountant into the UK finance team of a private equity backed business that owns and leases assets across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
This is the gross margin role, so it sits on top of where the actual value of the business is made. High volume, detailed, and genuinely important. The person before you spent their time cleaning up the work papers, which means you inherit a tidy base rather than a mess, and your job is to take it a layer deeper.
There's also a new asset management system landing next year, and whoever holds this seat will be central to moving gross margin reporting across to it.
WISH LIST
- Two to three years in a management accounting role, part way through your ACCA or CIMA studies, or qualified by experience who enjoys operating at this level
- Genuinely quick in Excel. Large data sets, pivots, lookups, no hand-holding needed
- Detail-driven to the point where it bothers you when a process isn't followed properly

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
